Professional Experience
2000 (Oct) to 2006 (May) - Art Representative with Saffronart (www.saffronart.com), a portal company that promotes contemporary Indian art worldwide. Saffronart is headquartered in Mumbai, India. I worked as a Bangalore City Representative in south India. My role involved sourcing art works from galleries and identifying artists to enable online sales / auctions of paintings. I also handled logistical matters such as the shipment of paintings to the head office in Mumbai. October 2003 - September 2006 - Worked as a consultant for MAHITI (www.mahiti.org) on a project that dealt with research and documentation of 'Information Communication & Technology' in the small-scale sector and support organisations including Bangalore and the rest of Karnataka. The project was in colloboration with the University of Manchester. It involved traveling to various locations in Karnataka, and interviewing numerous entrepreneurs from various sectors following which I documented them, and these case studies are published in 'Hand Books' produced as a result of these studies. June 2000 to July 2000 - Contract Creative Art Consultant for CDS International Limited, Bangalore where I, among other assignments, designed websites
